How long will it take to complete my project?

Project timeframes will, of course, vary depending on the scope of the job. Smaller jobs generally take anywhere between one week to one month to complete. Larger projects can take up to six months. We will provide you with a more precise timeline once we have properly assessed your project.

Can I make changes once you have begun work?

You certainly may request that revisions to your project plan be made once the work has started however, more often than not, changes tend to increase the cost and the time it takes to complete the job. If you decide to implement changes, we will provide a revised work order that details any and all alterations to the original plan.

Will subcontractors be employed on my job?

Subcontractors may or may not be utilized on your project. Subcontractors are normally hired to handle items that require highly specialized skills. This allows us to provide you with the best results available at the most affordable cost. You can be confident that Yockey Remodeling employs only the finest professionals in the business – subcontractors we know and trust.

If I do some of the work myself, will it help control my costs?

Customers sometimes “pitch in” by doing some of the work, typically removing fixtures, flooring, or demolition. Many times, however, they find that the inconvenience outweighs the savings. There are often laws that dictate your opportunity to undertake construction projects in your home (home owners association requirements, permits, etc.) You may want to consult with us prior to taking on any of the work yourself.

Will the value of my home be affected?

Kitchen or bathroom remodeling normally have the greatest effect on the value of your home. Larger scale projects can sometimes increase the resale value of your home by tens of thousands of dollars. If your ultimate goal is the increased sales price of your home, focus on: improving functionality, updating fixtures and appliances, and creating a unified environment. Try to avoid drastic style changes.

We utilize only the finest materials on all our jobs, unless you specify otherwise. Our vendors are reputable and their products and materials are priced to help us deliver your job within the parameters of your very specific budget.
